Polish Music I like – second edition

Hi guys! It’s been a while since I did the first post with Polish songs so I thought I’d do another one. Again I welcome your recommendations for cool Polish music – especially if it’s similar to what I’ve got here. I’m open to whatever but typical rock, metal, alt-rock… eh not so much. But yeah if you think it’s cool, maybe someone else will too so feel free to post it in the comments. Happy listening.

Kroki – This band and I think this exact song was recommended to me last time I did a music post and I really liked it. Props to you guys.

Mikromusic – I saw them play on a roof in Katowice and they were pretty awesome so I have to post this incredible song.

Fisz Emade for something a little slower

XXANAXX – This is a different kind of music than I would normally listen to but I think the song is pretty badass and they’re quite famous now in Poland.

I’m not going to pretend I know anything about Julia Marcell but I can appreciate her music 🙂 This song has interesting lyrics and a nice melody.

Taco Hemingway  was recommended to me by half of Poland last time I did a music post and now I see why. He’s probably my favorite from all these artists listed here. Read: I actually listen to him in my car. Thus, I put my two favorites:

Everyone also kinda gave me a hard time for not putting Dawid Podsiadlo there last time. The whole point of this is post is rather to post lesser known music which I like and listen to, which usually means not commercial. I think everyone knows Podsiadło already but I think he’s a good artist and I think this a cool song regardless of the fact that it’s basically an ad.

Again, I don’t know anything about Daria Zawiałów but the song is cool and I like her voice.

So is there something essential that I’m missing out on? Share it in the comments preferably with a link!

    Riverside!
Is a progressive rock band from Poland, but they are singing in English.
First tree albums are dark, and depressive, next is more agressive and haevy. “Shrine of New Generation Slaves” is more catchy, if you don’t like dark and haevy music, “Love, Fear and the Time Machine” is more light and happy, it sounds like 80’s pop.

Chłopcy Kontra Basia is worth giving a try. Jazz-folk.

Hey Ref – out of all these I’d say Tides from Nebula is something I could get into. The others perhaps my husband would like 🙂

Good choices! I reccomend you to listen to Mela Koteluk. I think you would like her! 🙂

Yeah I like her too. I had one of her songs in my last music post 🙂

How about Artur Rojek??? Maybe the song called “Syreny” you’d like. But not only, the whole album is really great 🙂
He is a former lead vocalist and guitar player of the band “Myslovitz” and their songs are awesome as well, but a little old by now, even so, I still love them!
    Check Rojek for me! 🙂

And maybe Brodka? I don’t really fancy her, but her album “Granda” is pretty awesome 😉

Hey Agata – Rojek was featured in my last music post and even specifically the song “syreny” 🙂 I’ve seen him play many times and I think he’s incredible! Yeah Brodka is alright too. I’m also not a huge fan but I appreciate what she does.

Have you ever listened to Ania Dąbrowska songs? She is really talented and sings quite beautifully. This singer creates a pop music but not commercial one. Her lyrics tell deep, real stories with the morals. There is one of the greatest hits made by her:

    Have a nice listening, Leah!

Hey Piotr – Actually I’ve seen her play before. She played in Gliwice last year before Rojek. Yeah she’s pretty good but I don’t know if it’s exactly what I’d listen to normally but I can appreciate it 🙂

    Hello from Germany!

Did you know that your blog is a top 10 result if you enter “polish music blog” @ Google?!
Why did I do that? Well, we have put out a German/Polish album as a free download – and so I search around who may be interested. IT’s mainly instrumental, partly noisy and dark, but you might like a track or two! Here it is: https://cizishere.bandcamp.com/album/contemporary-alliance

    Kind regards,

    J.
